OfS Uni Connect Programme
Aimhigher London, together with AccessHE and Linking London, comprise the London NCOP. As part this partnership, Aimhigher London brokers progressive and sustained outreach activity to support the government’s social mobility goals to increase the number of young people from underrepresented groups who go into higher education.
Uni Connect: Ward-Focused Programme
Find out more about how the programme works in Carshalton Boys Sports College, one of our partner schools:
Aimhigher London works with 14 schools whose pupils come from 8 of the gap wards in South London. We have developed a progressive programme of outreach activities in collaboration with those schools and partner universities for learners in Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

We know that parents and carers have a key impact on the decisions that young people make about their future. At Uni Connect, we’re developing a new parental engagement programme to inspire and involve families in the journey their young person is taking to discover HE, including a short film to show parents what a typical day visiting one of our higher education institution partners might look like. You can watch the film below.
Uni Connect: Outreach Hubs
Aimhigher London are leading on the development of outreach hubs covering 14 boroughs in south London: Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kingston, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Richmond, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth.
The aim of the hubs is to help teachers and advisers to find out about the outreach activity which is available in an area; proactively support schools and colleges in areas of low participation to access higher education; and provide a platform for other local collaborative activity.
