‘Keeping Collaboration in Mind’ Joining where ends meet: supporting transition within and between sectors

Over 60 delegates attended the conference on the 15th May 2019 at Kingston University (10.00 am – 4.00 pm).  Delegates represented schools, virtual schools, 6th form colleges and universities.

The aim of the conference was to bring together practitioners from different sectors to champion the educational success of care experienced students and the adults who support them.  The conference focused on the themes of interdependence and dependence and how they relate to preparing for transitions.

‘Relational Ruptures: the Psychodynamics of Leaving Care’

‘‘The Care Leaver Covenant from policy into practice’

 

Workshops explored local effective practice and collaborative partnerships in relation to the conference themes.
